Where do treatments take place?

I practice from my apartment located on Drewstead Road, Streatham Hill, London, SW16. Only a five minute walk from the train station, the full address details will be supplied on confirmation of booking.

How do I make a booking?

You can book any of the four available treatments through the online booking system which will show you all upcoming availability. Alternatively you can call Calma Massage to discuss your treatment needs and book over the phone via 07423 394 053.

Is your location wheelchair accessible?

Unfortunately the apartment is not wheelchair accessible. I am able to travel to you, so please get in touch to book a visiting massage treatment.

When should I arrive?

Please arrive 10 minutes before the scheduled start of your first treatment to allow time for a consultation.

How do I pay?

A deposit payment is made online at the point of booking. The outstanding balance will be taken following completion of the treatment via card or cash payment. Please get in touch if you have any further questions about payments, or require an alternative way to book.

What happens if I need to cancel?

You can cancel for free up to 24 hours before your scheduled treatment. Any cancellation within 24 hours will be charged at the normal price or can be rearranged to a new date. Please get in touch as soon as reasonably possible should you need to cancel/reschedule.

Are there any conditions which prevent me from receiving a massage?

Unfortunately, I cannot treat you if you are pregnant or think you may be pregnant; however I can recommend other specialist massage therapists to speak to. In addition, if you are experiencing/exhibiting one of the following conditions, then please obtain prior medical consent from your GP/Consultant:

- Treatment for a serious health condition such as cancer or

- Recovering from surgery in the last 6 months

- COVID, fever or other current infections/illnesses

- Any open sore skin conditions (currently open/inflamed)

What products do you use during the treatment?

I use hypoallergenic grapeseed oil (vegan) or Songbird Massage wax for treatments.

I am nervous of coming for a treatment…

Your safety and comfort is of utmost importance. It is difficult to realise the benefits of massage if you feel nervous and cannot relax during your treatment. I am a fully qualified and insured professional massage therapist registered with the Complementary Therapists Association (https://www.ctha.com/) [Registration # II5808713] and understand that coming to my home instead of a spa/clinic may cause concern.

Prior to the commencement of your first treatment we will complete a health and wellbeing consultation. I will talk you through the plan for the treatment and give you an opportunity to ask any questions and discuss any concerns or requests to tailor your treatment and maximise its benefit. Generally I ask clients to remove outer clothing down to their underwear, but we can work out ways to treat that involve wearing more clothing if desired.

You will be covered by two towels throughout the treatment, with only the relevant limb/body part exposed at any one time. You will be given privacy to get changed before and after the massage.
